Available in stores across the country and online from saltcaramels.com, Helliemae’s is growing fast and has just moved to a new production kitchen: a renovated mid-century service station in Wheat Ridge. Products are available in the Denver area from stores like the Truffle, the Perfect Petal, and Hazel and Dewey. Helliemae’s has received accolades for its grown-up sweets from Real Simple, Sunset, the Wall Street Journal, Country Living, Family Circle, and other national publications. Ellen has been a guest on Frank Bonanno’s PBS show “Chef Driven”, and has appeared on 9News and Colorado Public Radio. Prior to launching Helliemae’s, Ellen was a strategy and operations executive and consultant at companies including Oracle and McKinsey and Company. She holds a BA from Rice University and an MBA from Columbia University. She lives in Denver’s Sunnyside neighborhood with her husband, Chris, and their giant schnauzer, Allie.
